Yes. Every scene is its own shot — redo just that one and the rest of the video stays exactly as it is.

How can I get the best result with my own photos?

An AI music video generator is software that makes a music video from a song with generative AI. Instead of filming, it analyses the audio (tempo, beats, sections), plans a sequence of shots, generates each shot with a video model and edits them to the music. HeyBop.ai is an AI music video generator built around the beat grid, so every cut lands on the beat.
How does HeyBop.ai work?
In four steps. Listen: it analyses the song's tempo, beats and sections and finds the hook. Shot list: an AI director writes one scene per slot on that beat grid, with the same characters, wardrobe, palette and lighting throughout. Shoot: each scene is generated by the AI video model that suits it — you never pick a model. Cut: the clips are trimmed to the beat, colour-graded as one film and exported with your song.

Your music
Can I upload my own music?
Yes. Upload MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, AAC, OGG — up to 200 MB in the studio (50 MB when you start on heybop.ai/create before signing up). Songs from any source you hold the rights to work, including tracks made with Suno. You need the rights to the song you upload.
Can I paste a link to my song instead of uploading it?
Yes. Paste the song's link — Suno, YouTube, TikTok, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, Google Drive, Dropbox or a direct link to the file — and HeyBop.ai fetches the song for you. A Suno song brings its lyrics along, so the captions follow them. Spotify and Apple Music don't hand out audio, so HeyBop finds the same recording on YouTube and shows you which one it used. Udio links can't be imported, because Udio has switched downloads off. When a platform refuses — Instagram gives the sound only to logged-in accounts and Vimeo locks its streams — upload the file instead. You need the rights to the song.
I don't have a song. Can HeyBop.ai make one?
Yes. Music Lab writes and sings a full song with vocals from a prompt or your own lyrics (40 credits a song), and it goes straight into the video. You can also start from one of the free starter tracks made for HeyBop.
Are HeyBop.ai videos synced to the beat?
Yes. Beat sync is the core of HeyBop.ai. Before anything is generated, it detects the song's tempo, beats and sections; every scene is planned on that beat grid, every clip is trimmed to it and the final edit cuts on the beat. Choruses get bigger, faster shots; quiet parts get room.
Can a character sing my song?
Yes. Sing along turns chosen shots into performance shots: the character sings the song to camera, lip-synced to the vocals. A performance shot is 150 credits for 6 seconds (250 for 10).

Yes, optionally. Captions are timed to the vocals, can be edited before you render, and come in several caption styles.
How are quality problems checked and corrected?
Quality checks offer suggestions about individual shots and transitions. They do not block the finished video or start automatic replacements. You can watch, download and share it, then decide what to change. A technical generation failure returns that job’s credits or reserved free redo. A successful result with a quality note counts as completed. Sampled checks cannot guarantee every frame or lip movement; review the playing video.

Any platform that takes video. HeyBop.ai exports MP4 in 9:16 (1080×1920) for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, 16:9 (1920×1080) for YouTube, and 1:1 or 4:5 for Instagram and Facebook feeds, plus a free 15-second hook teaser export from scenes already generated in the project. Every video can also get a public share page with an embed.

What happens if a generation fails?
You get the credits back automatically. A job's cost is reserved while it runs and only charged if it succeeds; if a model errors, times out or the output fails moderation, the credits return to your balance and the ledger shows the refund.
Do credits expire?
Credits from packs never expire. Plan credits roll over while you stay subscribed.
What can I see before I pay?
Sign up and get 150 credits. Upload songs and photos, audition audio and edit settings for free. Storyboard image previews use available credits and are still images, not a finished video. Video generation has a separate quote based on your remaining balance. Welcome credits do not unlock watermark-free or commercial exports. Buy credits when needed; confirm any checkout total before paying. Script generation is free (0 credits). After reviewing it, generate three storyboard images for 60 credits. Video generation is quoted separately. Video-only estimates exclude these images.
Do the one-time videos cover my whole song?
No. USD 4.99 covers an eligible first 15-second Standard video with a watermark and personal use; USD 9.99 covers a 30-second Standard video with watermark-free commercial rights for that project. For a 3-minute song with 6-second Standard clips, no reference photos and no singing, the generation estimate is 2,015–2,870 credits, approximately USD 34.93–USD 44.99 in credit packs from zero balance. The lower estimate reuses chorus shots; the upper creates every shot fresh. This excludes commercial export rights, photos, singing, replacements and extra exports. It is not a fixed finished-video price. Confirm your own quote before generating. For the same example, a new Free account’s one-time licensed purchase is approximately USD 34.94–USD 46.96 before tax, including the project’s watermark-free commercial export rights and required generation packs. Your selected song, quality and balance determine the actual quote.
Which subscription prices apply to new purchases?
New memberships are USD 7.99/week or USD 29.99/month. The former Pro plan at USD 9.99/month is not sold to new subscribers. Existing subscriptions retain their purchased terms; USD 9.99 is a one-time release-ready video, not a monthly membership.

Do I need to install an app?
No. HeyBop.ai runs in the browser on phones and computers.
What languages does HeyBop.ai support?
The site and the studio are available in 12 languages: English, Chinese (Simplified), Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew and Indonesian.
Does uploading publish my song or photos, or use them for training?
Uploading account media does not automatically create a public share page. Studio media access is restricted to the owner and authorised admins, with exceptions for public shares and limited-access poster links. Generation sends necessary inputs to service providers under their own terms. HeyBop’s published policy says it does not use uploaded or generated media to train models; this is not a guarantee about every provider’s retention or training. Can I redo a shot for free?
Can I redo a shot for free?
Each project gets one free shot redo per complete 30 seconds of its first finished video, with at least one. For example, 15–59 seconds gets one and 60–89 seconds gets two. Redos stay with that project and use the same quality, duration and singing setting as the original shot. Only a successfully generated replacement uses a redo; a generation error does not. Earlier versions stay available for you to choose. Exporting again or changing versions does not renew the allowance. Once it is used up, the next attempt shows its credit price before you start.
